Where to Sled and Have Winter Fun in Philly
Looking for winter fun near home this year? Look no further, we’ve got you covered (in snow!) this season.
Philadelphia Art Museum
Sure, running up the Philadelphia Art Museum steps and leaping in celebration at the top is rite of passage in our region but what about when it snows?
On snow days, the art museum’s steps become the top spot for sledders in Philly who know that when it snows the steps become that perfect slope for sledding.
Lemon Hill
Just a short hike from Philadelphia Art Museum, Lemon Hill’s steep hillsides are another prime spot for sledders. Due to its popularity, though, Lemon Hill does get a bit crowded so be sure to grab your spot on the slopes and hold on!
Winter at Dilworth Park
Of course, if sledding isn’t your way of playing in the snow, be sure to check out Winter at Dilworth Park for ice skating through Feb. 26. Featuring the Deck the Hall Holiday Lights show, the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink, Wintergarden, and even a pop-up bar in the form of a rustic ski cabin, there’s lots to do at Winter in Dilworth Park this season.
